Aurora Chocolate is a line of gourmet chocolates that struck a deal with IGA to supply their stores nationally and they wanted to refresh the packaging design to create a more professional and eye catching product to compete with other brands in store. The client wanted three new and unique designs to represent three different flavours, and wanted the designs to be bold, bright, fun and energetic with some kind of illustrative elements. I took a great deal of inspiration from the brand’s name, relating it to the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora. I used Adobe Illustrator to depict her in various scenes from mythology. I used a colour pallet directly sourced from the colours of the ingredients of each flavour and a simplistic design to create a striking and bright visual to help compete with other brands in stores.
