Making Queensland Beautiful Initiative

The Making Queensland Beautiful Initiative was created to increase the awareness of the community that people are living in. The aim is to help people to be aware of what each suburb is known for but adding in a little holiday season cheer. They wanted a set of three street pole banners to showcase the holiday season in a suburb of our choice within Queensland. They needed to be complimentary artworks that would be hung around the suburb, and should represent the features of the suburb as well as the spirit of the holiday chosen (including a short holiday season saying). I used Adobe Illustrator to create three banners for Christmas Time in Burleigh. I used a simplistic design approach and picked a bright colour pallet to capture the best parts of Burleigh and make a stunning visual for the community and tourists to enjoy.
